The Pokémon Band is a collaboration between Nancy and Marcia Selleri, an expert in ocarinas. Our shared love for Pokémon inspired this collection where we blended various techniques to create musical instruments that are not only functional but also nostalgic and playful.

This banjo sporting, fedora-wearing happy-go-lucky Snorlax also features a two chambered ocarina that produces sounds in the range of the 5th octave. He is not tuned to any particular scale and is meant to be played for the enjoyment of seeing where the sounds will take you instead of being led by sheet music. The banjo that Snorlax is playing is strung with nylon strings.
Thrown on the wheel in parts and sculpted with stoneware clay. Colored with underglaze and fired to cone 6.

Professor Harry Hogshead is the esteemed scholar of ancient literature whose dreams stretch far beyond the dusty halls of academia. Tired of reading ancient texts and lecturing to rows of half-sleeping students, Harry dreams of the freedom of the open road and the roar of a Harley beneath him. Don’t let the bowtie fool you. He has a wild spirit that yearns for adventure, beckoning him to break free from the chains of academia and embark on a journey. Here’s to Professor Hogshead, the rebel with a PH.D., whose quest for knowledge knows no bounds- even if it leads him down Route 66.
Hand-thrown and sculpted in stoneware. Harry’s perfect for holding air plants, or small flower bouquets, or encouraging you to thirst for more. Imagine the winds blowing against the plants on his noggin as he journeys down Route 66.

This Pokéball was made by throwing a closed ball shaped piece on the wheel. Once dried enough, a foot was trimmed at the bottom and then the enclosed ball was cut open and further refined in the trimming process. Hinges were added after the firing process that opens it just like a Pokéball! It’s perfect for holding jewelry, keys, or small knickknacks.
